Final thoughts and rating
In an obvious and predictable move, MSI has thrown its weight behind NVIDIA's nascent GeForce GTX 560 GPU by giving it the Twin Frozr II/OC makeover. This means it comes equipped with a tasty heatsink and reasonable out-of-the-box frequencies.
Able to run comfortably past the 870MHz core and 4,080MHz memory with a touch of overclocking, the Twin Frozr II makes sense if it's readily available for £160, even in the face of increased competition from AMD via a price-hammered Radeon HD 5870.
There's little to choose between AMD and NVIDIA's £150-plus GPUs these days, so folk who have a genuine interest in 3D Vision and PhysX would do well to put this GTX 560 on their shortlist. Bear in mind that pricing is hugely congested between £150-£200 and a tenner here or there does make a difference.
Ultimately, we've always liked what MSI has done with its Frozr II line of graphics cards. The GTX 560 version is decent, clearly, but needs to be priced at sub-£160 for it to really stand out.
The Good
Twin Frozr II concept works well
Overclocks reasonably well
Relatively cheap for a pre-overclocked GTX 560
The Bad
Default frequencies not as high as competitions'
