If you've had your credit card and mortgage paperwork at hand ever since Apple announced its 12-core Mac, we've good news - said system is now available to order.

The dodeca-core beast (admit it, that sounds good) has today appeared on the Apple Store priced from £3,999.

That small loan will bag you Apple's flagship workstation equipped with dual hexa-core Intel Xeon processors clocked at 2.66GHz apiece, 6GB of DDR3 memory, ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics and 1TB of storage.

A mildly-tasty starter, but it starts to spice up with the optional extras. Throw in faster 2.99GHz CPUs, 32GB of RAM, dual HD 5770s and a quartet of 512GB SSDs and you're laughing; either at the awesome amount of power or the mind-boggling £12,477.98 total.

Sold? Hit the Apple store to place your order and expect delivery in around a fortnight.

At both, surely… :O_o1:
I think I prefer the 48 core AMD boxes that are about the same price (as the cheaper range) :p
Not read the article but , “Dual-Chip Westmere”. So is that MCM or just a dual CPU board ?
