Western digital has today announced that its entire range of My Book external hard drives has been expanded to include 2TB single-drive capacities, making them the largest single-drive external options currently on the market.
The range, comprising the My Book Studio Edition, My Book Mac Edition, My Book Home Edition and My Book Essential Edition (pictured), will all now be available equipped with Western Digital's 2TB Caviar Green hard drive.
Aside from capacity, the My Book range remains unchanged. Both the My Book Studio and Mac editions remain pre-formatted for OS-X, with the former featuring FireWire, eSATA and USB connectivity, and the later confined to only USB.
Similarly, for PC users, the My Book Home features FireWire, eSATA and USB, whilst the cheaper My Book Essential carries only USB connectivity.
UK pricing is yet to be announced, but our friends across the pond are expected to pay between $330 and $380 for 2TB models.
