Corsair has officially announced a range-topping addition to its TX-series power supplies - the TX850W.
The 850W PSU, pictured below, features industrial-grade components and is geared toward the PC enthusiast. Highlighting its ability to handle hot-running PCs, Corsair states the PSU has been qualified to operate at 100 per cent load at an ambient system temperature of 50ºC.
The unit's single +12V rail will dish out 70A of power whilst maintaining energy efficiency of over 80 per cent. It's certified NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire, and provides four 6+2-pin PCIe cables for hooking up all your graphics kit.
Keeping the PSU cool is a temperature-controlled 140mm fan that promises "whisper-quiet noise levels", and despite a mean time before failure of 100,000 hours, the device is backed by Corsair's five-year warranty.
Slotting in beneath the pricey-but-modular HX-series, Corsair's TX850W is available now from Scan.co.uk at a cost of £107.93*
