Foxconn has added the 975X7AA-8EKRS2 to its portfolio of motherboards, and is, as the name gives away, an Intel 975X chipset-based board.
Features on the board include a new 'Fox One' chip; a component designed for hardware monitoring and hardware tweaking:
The system relies on both a dedicated on-board hardware chip and system software for enabling Windows-based control. FOX ONE enables the automatic monitoring of a PC's system status – including system frequencies, voltages and temperatures, and the automatic and intelligent adjustment of major system components to improve both system performance and power efficiency.
Basically it's Foxconn's answer to automatic system overclocking and monitoring. Many of the settings can be manually tweaked through software, however.
Other features of the board include dual PEG slots for dual-GPU support, external SATA 300Gbps, dual 1Gbps networking and Realtek ALC882H HD audio.
Also launching this month is a new Foxconn site, foxconn.info, and every week in may Foxconn are giving somebody the chance to win a Intel Pentium D Processor Extreme Edition 965
