You might not associate Sapphire Technologies with motherboards but this close AMD partner has quite a comprehensive roster of embedded products including motherboards, graphics boards, barebones, and even micro servers. Now Sapphire has launched a new motherboard range that comes packing your choice from four AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 series APUs.
The new Sapphire FS-FP5V is aimed at embedded but visually demanding tasks as might be required for electronic gaming machines, medical imaging, interactive digital signage, thin clients, POS terminals and similar. The FS-FP5V is said to have enough visual power to support four 4K displays.
According to Tom's Hardware, the FS-FP5V can be configured with any one of the four AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 APUs currently available from AMD. This gives buyers a wide choice of CPU and GPU power and TDPs.
