Gigabyte has been showcasing an all new P57W laptop alongside several other Skylake updated laptops at CES this year. The firm reckons its laptop range will appeal to "any mobile gamer or working professional, no matter if you're looking for top-tier performance or are on a budget". Gigabyte also used CES 2016 to showcase a next gen BRIX barebone and a trio of Xeon friendly motherboards.

The all-new Gigabyte P57W laptop is a 17.3 inch gaming orientated portable PC. Gigabyte has configured it, and all the new laptops at CES 2016, with a 6th Generation Intel Core Processor. In this case you have an i7 processor installed. Nvidia GTX GPU options are a choice between the GTX970M or 965M. M.2 PCIe storage is standard, as is DDR4 memory, USB 3.1 Type-C connector, and HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2. This large screened gaming laptop also features a swappable bay (for HDD/ODD etc) and new anti-ghosting 30-key rollover backlit keyboard.

Gigabyte took the opportunity to update other P-series laptops to the Skylake platform and these include; the 15-inch P55W with GTX 970M, the 14-inch 'Ultrabook-like' P34W with GTX 970M and optional QHD 2560x1440 display, the 17-inch P37X & 15-inch P35X with 8GB GTX 980M graphics and optional 4K displays, and the 'highly affordable' 17-inch P17F & 15-inch P15F with GTX 950M graphics and FHD displays. You can discover more detailed specs about any of these models in Gigabyte's press release.

A new generation BRIX was unveiled by Gigabyte at the CES. This 'palm sized' PC offers a variety of different configurations based on the 6th Gen. Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors with Intel HD Graphics 520. They come with an M.2 slot for compact storage and can support a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD for further storage expansion. The new GB-BSi7T-6500 and GB-BSi5T-6200 models will also offer Thunderbolt 3 connectivity via a USB Type-C connector bringing bandwidth of up to 40Gb/s, Power Delivery 2.0, daisy chaining of up to 6 devices and with support for DisplayPort 1.2 capable of handling 4K monitors.

Gigabyte also showcased a pair of motherboards with support for LGA1151 Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 processors. The GA-X150-PLUS WS (ATX form factor), and GA-X150M-PLUS WS (Micro-ATX form factor) are high-end desktop class motherboards designed for enthusiast desktop users. They are highly suitable for both gamers and professionals says Gigabyte.

what's the point of having all that power if it can't offer support for their devices when they become old (at least there should be 4 years support, instead of labeling older tech as legacy)
i upgraded to win10 and no driver support for the OS provided by Gigabyte for their P2742

my bro has 3 year old HP Pavilion and it has support (drivers) for win10
The thing with the gaming laptops is that they have short life.
