Nvidia's new GRID on-demand game-streaming service will get at least one new game every Tuesday in an effort to tempt consumers. GRID officially exited the beta stages a few weeks ago for owners of the SHIELD tablet in North America and most of Western Europe, rollout for Asia and Germany comes early next year. The game-streaming service will be free into mid-2015 after which Nvidia will start charging a subscription free. Details on the structure of the subscription and its potential pricing have not yet been revealed.

At present the GRID service offers 20 titles including Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2 and the newly-added Psychonauts and Red Faction: Armageddon. That number is still dwarfed by the 250-plus games on offer by cloud-gaming company OnLive. For reference, OnLive charge £4.95 ($10) per month for unlimited access to its game catalogue. Nvidia spokesperson Brian Burke told PCWorld that the aim for GRID is to offer over 100 titles, although, a time-frame was not placed on that objective.

If the availability of GRID isn't enough reason to give SHIELD a try then Nvidia hopes to tempt consumers further with this week's Black Friday deal. Nvidia is giving away a selection of freebies to buyers of its new SHIELD tablet and the deal runs from Wednesday November 26th, today, until 11:59pm on Friday November 28th.

The deal is for Nvidia's 32GB SHIELD tablet only, which retails for £299, and it entitles the buyer to a free SHIELD controller, worth £49.99, as well as the previously announced Green Box game bundled which includes copies of Valve's Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2 and Portal.
