NVIDIA's latest video-card has finally hit the market - you can get the full skinny here - and EVGA is on the ball with three factory-overclocked GPUs ready to launch on day one.
Even company's cheapest Fermi-based card is getting above average specs. The GTS 450 FPB (Free Performance Boost) gets a small but significant speed-increase for core and shaders, clocking in at 822MHz and 1,645MHz respectively - compared to 783MHz and 1,566MHz for stock models. The memory will be set to default speeds, though, ticking-along at an effective 3,608MHz.
Turning things up a notch is the Superclocked model, running at frequencies of 882MHz and 1,764MHz for the core and shaders. This time the memory is getting some attention too, zooming along at 3,800Mhz.
As ever, at the top of EVGA's line-up is the FTW card. The GPU boasts a 920MHz clock, 1,840MHz Cuda cores and memory at a lightning-fast 4,100MHz. That works out to an increase 17.5 per cent compared to the stock GPU, which should give frame-rates a serious boost.
Should you want to squeeze out even more performance, the manufacturer will ship each card with it's Precision Tuning Software to help tweak any settings.
All three GTS 450s should be available now, starting at £108 for the FPB, £112 for the Superclocked model and £119 for the top-of-the-line FTW.
