It's no surprise that NVIDIA reckons its next-generation graphics architecture - codenamed Fermi - is the best thing since Radeon HD 5870, but if you just won't believe it until you've seen it for yourself, UK retailer SCAN has provided just the opportunity.

To mark the March 26 launch of NVIDIA's next-generation cards, the Bolton-based retailer is providing you with the chance to be the first to experience the "future of PC gaming".

It's an opportunity to see NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 480 in action, and a chance to "try before you buy". SCAN will be showcasing NVIDIA's latest products, allowing you to go hands on with 3D games - some of which are said to be unreleased! - and there will also be on-site competitions through which you could land yourself one of two new Fermi graphics cards.

Put simply, if you consider yourself to be a PC gaming enthusiast, you need to be at the event.

The festivities will be taking place on Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27, and you'll need to pre-register for the free event via the SCAN website.

Here's the address, and a little Google Map to help you find your way.

Scan Computers International, 25-28 Enterprise Park, Middlebrook, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 6PE.

Too far for me, but sounds like a great idea. </envy>
Will you be able to buy a Fermi based card at this event and go home with it?
GheeTsar

There is a chance to win 2 of the new Fermi cards, however can't sell them until the NDA has been lifted.

Best Regards

I'll ‘compete to win’ from up North yeah?
If it's a gaming challenge then I'm really good & would have beaten everyone so you might as well just send me a card ;)

Wish there were things like this up here :(
