SilverStone has launched the next iteration in its RAVEN series of chassis - the RAVEN RV03.
With the manufacturer marketing its newest creation as redefining the rules, we're told that the RAVEN RV03 adopts a 90 degree mounting platform for the mainboard - akin to the RAVEN RV01 - to deliver improved cooling performance, whilst still supporting a range of form factors from Micro ATX, through to Extended ATX. This adds, to what the company describes as mandatory cable management and independent cooling zones.
Two 180mm Air Penetrator fans, located in the base of the chassis, add to support for up to seven 120mm fans to boost cooling potential, and another example of SilverStone's thought sequence, is the relocation of the PSU bay to the front of the chassis - directly under the drive bays. This equates to support for PSUs that dish up no more than 180mm in depth.
Speaking of drive bays, the RAVEN RV03 goes for seven 5.25in external bays, and up to ten 3.5in bays (six of which, come through the use of 5.25in adapters) internally. In addition, there are two internal 2.5in bays. You've got eight expansion slots, and if graphics cards get any longer than they already are, you'll be pleased to know that the RAVEN RV03 can accommodate up to 13.58in worth, in length of course.
Aesthetically, SilverStone bills the RAVEN RV03 as adopting an upscale and aggressive design, with a hint of champagne coloured trimmings.
