Rarely does a trade show go by without an eye-catching chassis from Thermaltake and CeBIT 2011 is no exception.
This time around, the company that gave us the Level 10 GT is taking the wraps off another mid-tower solution, the Chaser MK-1.
Aimed possibly at hardcore gamers with a Tron fetish, the immodest design features a black-with-blue-accents colour scheme, a series of edges said to imitate the look of armor, and a decent amount of room on the inside.
Claiming to be the world's first XB ATX chassis (that's extra-big ATX by the way), the Chaser MK-1 is extra wide to allow for CPU coolers measuring up to 180mm in height and ample room for cable management.
There are enough PCIe slots for three-way SLI or CrossFire configurations, six tool-free hard drive bays supporting 3.5in or 2.5in disks, four 5.25in optical bays and provisioning for a bottom-mounted PSU. Along the top-mounted I/O panel you'll find both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connectivity, as well as eSATA and a hot-swappable plug-in bay for SATA storage devices.
That's a useful set of features, but there's no ignoring the fact that we're just a little bit alarmed by its looks.
