Lian Li is out to grab the attention of gamers everywhere, with the unravelling of its PC-8FI Mid Tower chassis.
The sexiest member of the line-up, as the company puts it, would most likely be the red-spider edition, featuring a spider-shaped transparent window on one of the two side panels, allowing users to peer inwards. Glamour comes as standard with the red-LED donned exhaust fan, to provide a party atmosphere. That isn't to say that the other two colour options - black and silver, of course - don't scrub up well, with the black option featuring blue-LED intake fans and, as is common to the whole line-up, hair-line brushed aluminium construction.
As well as dual 120mm intake fans and a single 120mm exhaust fan, the PC-8FI allows for a user-installed 140mm fan on the top panel. A filtered vent located below the PSU compartment, together with liquid cooling support, suggests that Lian Li hopes to have surpassed itself when cooling capabilities come under the microscope.
Eight PCI mounting brackets, allowing the adoption of CrossFireX or 3-Way SLI goodness, are part of the parcel and backed up with USB 3.0 support, tool-less installation, six internal 3.5" bays and 3 external 5.25" bays. An additional 3.5" bay can also be provided for, with the use of a 5.25" bay converter.
With availability later this month, expected price points range from $189 to $299, excluding taxes, for the black, silver and red spider-editions, respectively.
