CITY of INDUSTRY, CA (July 3, 2014) - CyberPower Inc. www.cyberpowerpc.com, a global manufacturer of custom gaming PCs, today unveiled its custom small form factor (SFF) configurator, which allows customers to choose from a carefully selected menu of high-end components to build the custom SFF Mini-ITX gaming rig of their dreams.
As far as performance goes, the sky is the limit. The CYBERPOWERPC design and engineering teams worked hard to stuff enough processing, graphics and cooling power into these pint-sized machines to rival any full-size desktop PC. According to CyberPower Inc., small form factor gaming systems have traditionally been limited from the start because of their inability to support many advanced options. For example, most designs were limited to 1U, 2U server or SFX power supplies, which are more difficult to upgrade and are often not powerful enough for high-end graphics cards.
Customers start first with a wide selection of SFF gaming chassis that have the headroom to support full size graphics, liquid cooling and other advanced components. Selections include the Corsair Obsidian 250D, BitFenix Prodigy SFF, Fractal Design Node 304 and more.
The SFF Configurator will offer the latest 4th Generation Intel Core processors including the screaming fast, unlocked Intel Core i7-4790K "Devil's Canyon" chip that starts at 4.0GHz. All processors will be mounted to a Mini-ITX motherboard from manufacturers such as MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock featuring the latest Intel Z97 chipset to deliver technologies such as 802.11ac Wi-Fi, PCI-Express 3.0, M.2, SATA Express and more. All motherboard options support high-performance Corsair Vengeance or G.SKILL RipjawsX dual-channel DDR3 memory.
All models built through the SFF Configurator can accommodate full-length graphics cards to deliver the realism and immersion that gamers demand. Customers can choose from a variety of options, including the super high end NVIDIA GTX Titan Black or the AMD R9 200 series, both of which offer next level performance.
All configurations support standard ATX power supplies with high output and 80 Plus Gold and Platinum efficiency ratings. CYBERPOWERPC also provides a variety of enhanced cooling options over standard SFF gaming systems, and even supports 240mm liquid cooling solutions in certain chassis. The extra cooling support ensures maximum performance and minimal heat and noise.
The SFF Configurator will allow customers to have ample storage space, with options from 500GB to 2TB SATA III 7200RPM hard drives, an assortment of lightning-fast solid state drives, and a number of slim optical drive options. Models include the connections needed to hook up all your performance gaming peripherals. The series features three standard USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfers to external devices; HDMI 1.4 ports for output to big screen TVs, HD monitors, and other displays and an HD Audio port with digital S/PDIF to connect to home entertainment systems or your favorite speakers and headphones.
All systems will support next gen 802.11ac Wi-Fi for high-speed wireless connections as well as Bluetooth 4.0 technology for connecting peripherals. All internal components are easily swappable and upgradeable because all chassis accommodate standard PC components.
