SUPERMICRO ACTIVATES CHANNEL IN EMEA WITH AMD64 TECHNOLOGY-BASED SERVER, MOTHERBOARD SOLUTIONS

Milan, Italy—Nov. 17, 2005—AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced general availability of a broad range of single- and Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processor-based server and motherboard solutions from Supermicro Computer, Inc., through four leading distributors in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This is enabling Supermicro solution providers and technology buyers to offer a greater choice in the x86 server market. Leading distributors of IT technology Avnet, Arrow, ISA Hardware and Computer 2000/Tech Data will begin immediately offering server building blocks designed and manufactured by Supermicro. Avnet is offering AMD Opteron processor-based server solutions from Supermicro across EMEA, Arrow in Western Europe, ISA Hardware in Eastern Europe and Computer 2000 (part of the Tech Data Group) in the UK and Israel.
