(Rushden, UK) – 16 September, 2009 – Belkin today announced full compliance with the newly ratified IEEE 802.11n specification for its 802.11n wireless networking products. Belkin’s 802.11n products currently on the market are already compliant and do not require firmware upgrades or other software downloads.
After 6 years of negotiations and a dozen drafts, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) approved the ratification of 802.11n as the final standard on Friday, Sept 11th.
Belkin’s 802.11n products include all necessary features to comply with the specification ratified by the IEEE committee and will inter-operate with other 802.11g- or 802.11b-compliant products.
