SECURITIES INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE, NEW
YORK, June 19, 2002 - Reuters (Nasdaq:RTRSY), the global information, news and
technology group, and Intel Corporation today announced that they are expanding
the scope of the activities under their Global Solutions Alliance to deliver
solutions that will bring new high performance, affordable technologies and
solutions to the financial services industry.


For more than twenty years, Reuters and Intel
have collaborated to reduce total cost of ownership and increase the return on
investment for their customers in the financial services industry. The companies
will work together to identify ways to improve product and platform performance
and increase cost savings for existing and potential customers.


Reuters will port and optimize a number of
enterprise solutions such as Reuters Market Data System, the latest

market data distribution
software

from Reuters
,
as well as its professional trading platforms for Intel-based systems containing
either Intel® Xeon(tm) or Itanium® 2 processors (for server systems) or Pentium®
4 processors (for desktop PCs). Intel will also provide enabling services via
Intel® Solution Services and tools to help Reuters optimize and tune its
enterprise and professional platforms such as Reuters Plus, its innovative,
powerful equities solution for sales and trading.
