ONLINE SERVICES
FOR OUTSOURCED WEB INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES
SANTA CLARA, Calif., August 21, 2001 - Intel Online Services, Inc. today
announced the American Stock Exchange® (Amex®), the nation's second largest
floor-based exchange, has selected Intel Online Services to provide managed
hosting services for its trading information sites.
Intel Online Services will manage the Amex network infrastructure, including
data back-up, Web site servers and operating system software for the Amex
Web sites. Intel Online Services has developed customized monitoring
capabilities to manage the network that connects the Amex to third-party
data providers who deliver real-time financial information. The customized
monitors give Intel Online Services immediate notification of network issues
and enable Intel Online Services to respond quickly to deliver maximum
network availability.
