TAIPEI, TAIWAN (1st March, 2005) –Tul™ today introduces the three latest PowerColor AGP GameFX series, which includes the native and bridge AGP solutions targeting at the enthusiast and mainstream markets.

The PowerColor X850 (AGP) series -The worlds fastest graphics card

The PowerColor X850 series is a new, complete native AGP8X based graphics card that requires no external bridge for compatibility with AGP systems. The PowerColor X850 Series enables ATI’s RADEON® X850 series VPU, core/memory clock speed up to 540/590 MHz and memory up to 256MB/256 bit GDDR3 SDRAM, along with its sophisticated board design, featuring a host of technologies that brings high definition gaming to new heights. The PowerColor X850 series delivers frame rates that surpass any previous AGP graphics card, making it the world’s most powerful and unleash the hidden visual effects performance from your favorite game.

The key features of the PowerColor X850 series include the AGP8X bus interface design, DVI, VIVO and HDTV supports, 16 pixel pipelines architecture, 6 vertex pipelines, dual 400MHz DACs and dual 165MHz TMDS tansmitters. Moreover, it offers the SMARTSHADER™ HD featuring Direct®X 9.0 and long shader support, as well as the latest technologies of 3Dc™ image enhancement technology, SMOOTHVISION™ HD, HYPER Z™ HD and VIDEOSHADER™ HD to enhance image and quality.

Three main models that Tul integrates the latest technology are: the PowerColor X850 XT Platinum Edition, X850 XT, X850 PRO, ready to be released before the end of the first quarter, 2005.

The PowerColor X800 (AGP) series- The first PCI Express to AGP bridge graphics cards

Since the AGP-based system remains a significant portion of market, the PowerColor X800 series enables the currently PCI Express-native RADEON® X800 series with the newest “PCI Express-to-AGP Bridge” technology which allows native PCI Express solution such as the PowerColor X800 XL to be configured on the AGP8X boards, and takes advantage of the higher bandwidth of PCI Express to offer seamless compatibility with the AGP8X system. The PowerColor X800 series offers both for 16 and 12 pipelines; core/memory clock speed 400/490MHz and 392/350MHz; and the memory up to 256MB. The PowerColor X800 series is purely designed on 256bit GDDR3 bandwidth architecture. Tul schedules to release two models - the PowerColor X800 XL and the PowerColor X800 - along with features like dual DVI output, VIVO and HDTV support in the second quarter of 2005.

The PowerColor X700 (AGP) series- The best buy mainstream AGP solution

Adopting the “PCI Express-to-AGP Bridge” technology, the PowerColor X700 series equips RADEON® X700 series which is a unidirectional bridge and the first completely PCI Express-to-AGP solutions for mainstream market.

The PowerColor X700 series delivers the most beautifully rendered high-definition 3D animation for the ultimate intense, interactive game play with core/memory clock speed up to 425/430 MHz and memory up to 256MB/128 bit GDDR3 SDRAM, along with 8 pixel pipelines architecture, dual-DVI, VIVO and HDTV support.
