NVIDIA Quadro FX 2000 Graphics, NVIDIA nForce3 Professional Platform Core-Logic, and 64-bit AMD Opteron Processor is Winning Combination
NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that a workstation armed with NVIDIA Quadro FX 2000 professional graphics and NVIDIA nForce3 Professional core-logic achieved the highest graphics score ever on the SPECapcsm for SolidWorks 2003tm benchmark. The system, which included the new 64-bit AMD Opteron processor, also set records for the highest overall composite and CPU intensive scores.

The professional software application benchmark tests, developed by SolidWorks in conjunction with the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC), use different-sized computer-aided design models to represent user workloads and measure graphics performance. Ten of the 11 workstation graphics solutions submitted by major system manufacturers and AMD to SPEC for SolidWorks benchmark testing used NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics solutions. NVIDIA Quadro-powered workstations won every benchmark in all five categories reported.
