HONG KONG – Jan. 8, 2009 – ZOTAC International, a leading manufacturer of NVIDIA-based motherboards and graphics cards, today kicks off the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show with the first of a new generation GeForce graphics cards – the flagship GTX 295 – ushering a new era of high-performance and immersive gaming.
Powered by a new NVIDIA GTX 200 series graphics processor that delivers higher-performance and lower power consumption than the previous generation, the new ZOTAC GTX 295 is ready to transform your graphical experience with incredible out-of-box gaming performance in next-generation DirectX 10-based titles, NVIDIA PhysX real-time physics processing technology, immersive 3D visuals with Stereoscopic 3D technology and high-performance mathematical calculations with NVIDIA CUDA technology.
The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295 packs the power of two graphics processor into a single card for astonishing graphics power – 480 stream processors – for a true cinematic gaming experience at extreme high-definition gaming resolutions.
“Our new ZOTAC GTX 295 takes graphics performance to uncharted levels of performance. Not only does it deliver phenomenal performance, it also deliver lower power consumption per graphics processor than the previous generation,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.
High-speed GDDR3 memory powers the new ZOTAC GTX 295 graphics card. The dual GPU ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295 packs 1792MB of screaming-fast GDDR3 memory that communicates with the GPUs via dual 448-bit memory interfaces, for an 896-bit wide memory interface overall.
NVIDIA PhysX technology enables the ZOTAC GTX 295 to calculate real-time physics for realistic environmental interaction and visual effects in current and upcoming PhysX enabled games. With PhysX technology, gamers will be treated to a whole new gaming experience that mimics reality.
“NVIDIA PhysX technology is gaining traction as the physics processing technology to have in the latest games. 2009 will be a great year for PhysX-enabled titles with upcoming high-quality titles from EA Games such as Mirror’s Edge,” Mr. Berger added. “Our GeForce GTX 295 will be ready to take on existing and upcoming PhysX enabled titles.”
NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D technology delivers a new immersive gaming experience with the ZOTAC GTX 295. Stereoscopic 3D technology encompasses gamers with the in-game environment for visual effects that jump off the screen.
NVIDIA CUDA technology empowers the ZOTAC GTX 295 with the ability to calculate complex mathematical calculations faster than quad-core processors. With CUDA technology, users can use the power of the GTX 295 to accelerate video transcoding, process images using Adobe Photoshop CS4 and other complex mathematical tasks.
“More software developers are embracing NVIDIA CUDA technology for GP-GPU computing. As more CUDA applications arrive, users will be able to use their GPU not just for games, but general tasks as well,” Mr. Berger said.
The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295 also supports NVIDIA Quad SLI technology, allowing users to take advantage of dual GeForce GTX 295 graphics cards for even greater graphics power. Two ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295 graphics cards can be installed in a single system for four total graphics processors for unrivaled graphics performance.
It’s time to play with the new ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295!
