PRESS RELEASE

London, United Kingdom - 9th January, 2013 - CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), an innovative solutions provider for media creativity, is pleased to announce that AMD (NYSE: AMD) has chosen to license its FaceMeTM facial recognition technology featured in YouCam, and has applied this technology to the AMD Face Login application on its upcoming high-performance A-Series APU platform, "Richland" and its upcoming low-power, mobility APU, "Temash". As we continue to enter the "Post-PC" era, where a keyboard and mouse may be less prevalent on a typical desk, CyberLink's FaceMeTM technology enables AMD users to skip the lengthy process of typing usernames and passwords, offering a more enjoyable, intelligent human-computer interface.

"It's been our pleasure to partner with AMD as they selected CyberLink's unique FaceMeTM technology in YouCam for their users," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "CyberLink has been dedicated to upgrading consumers' human-computer experience to a more convenient, user-friendly, and advanced level. With AMD's recognition, we combine webcams and facial recognition technologies to create innovative usages that further enhance the typical users' PC experience."

"With AMD Face Login on our upcoming "Richland" and "Temash" APUs, you become the password," said Neal Robison, Sr. Director of Consumer Content Application Support at AMD. "Leveraging CyberLink's expertise in multimedia, we chose to adopt FaceMeTM facial recognition technology for AMD Face Login on platforms powered by the "Richland" APUs, aiming to provide a smarter human-computer interface for AMD users."

CyberLink's FaceMeTM technology provides convenient access to Windows as well as popular websites such as, Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Youtube and Amazon. By using a smart face recognition algorithm, the solution can quickly detect and recognize the individual features from a webcam, then automatically sign the users in without the need to fill out usernames and passwords. In addition, the technology features a new Face-out function that can automatically lock the screen, sleep, or hibernate the PC when necessary to further enhance PC privacy and save power consumption.
