WiFi takes a bit longer

A closer look shows that the cables are shielded. We had to pull the plastic wraps and use cables no. 1 and no. 2. Be careful when doing it yourself, though, as the cables cannot be replaced and any damage is irreparable.

Once the cables were attached, we simply slid the card in. Note, too, that the cables aren't extra-long, so attaching them may be tedious for those with butter-finger syndrome.

The beauty of the operating system, Mac OS X, is that it will install the necessary drivers and just work, straight out of the box.

Installing a WiFi mini-PCIe card is a 10-minute affair. Again, the design of the chassis is such that installation is trouble-free, so, like us, don't be scared in opening the sexy chassis and having a good poke inside.

But the real fun is reserved for upgrading the CPUs, especially when dual Xeon 2.8GHz Harpertowns just aren't fast enough...
