Much like the P6X58D Premium that's the mainstay of our high-end testing platform, the P6X58D-E arrives with a surfeit of features. The specifications page shows that it supports the latest Core i7 chips; six DIMM slots; three mechanical x16 PCIe slots; SATA 6Gbps; USB 3.0 and FireWire, for starters, so it's not a bad deal for 150 notes.
Scan currently has it listed for £149.99, presumably for this week only, and our recommendation for a mid-priced, full-featured X58 board would go to either the P6X58D-E or the also-£150 Gigabyte X58-UD3R rev 2.0.
