Though the finer details of the CPU haven’t been listed in the official specifications sheet, we do know it will be powered by a dual-core 1.0GHz processor, which places it as a mid-range handset with specifications lower than the 1.2 GHz Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II but higher than the Galaxy S.
The 4in Super AMOLED display is also slightly smaller than those two models, though Samsung does stress that it will display photos and videos captured via the 5 megapixel rear camera with the clarity that we’ve come to expect form the Galaxy range.

Due for release later this year, the Galaxy S Advance will come pre-installed with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, host 768MB of RAM and support up to16GB of storage memory.
Samsung hasn't yet announced plans to upgrade the handset with Android 4.0, though we may hear more about that at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February where the Galaxy S Advance is likely to make its first appearance.
The Galaxy S Advance will ship in Russia next month and will then rollout to Europe, China, Africa, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Latin America, but not the U.S. The price has yet to be announced.

It’s likely that the World Mobile Congress will also be the platform from where Samsung announces the Galaxy S IIII, its flagship Ice Cream Sandwich-powered handset. Rumour has it that this highly-anticipated (though still unconfirmed) smartphone will feature a quad-core CPU, a 1.5GHz or 1.6GHz processor and a 12 megapixel camera.
