Pitted in the same bracket as other low-end devices, such as HTC Wildfire S and Samsung’s own Galaxy Y, the Tocco Lite 2 features a few upgrades from its previous incarnation and once again focuses on “enhanced social networking services.”
Measuring 50 x 102 x 11.5mm and weighing 95g, the device sports a 3in QVGA (320x240) TFT screen, 3.2MP camera, 20MB of internal memory (capable of 16GB with microSD), Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi b/g/n.

The biggest surprise for potential customers will probably be that it doesn’t run on Android or support 3G, but operates on Samsung’s proprietary OS. It does, however, come packed out with social networking apps, including Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Yahoo and Google Talk, and also feature communication service, ChatOn, as well as a music player and Opera mini-browser.
So, the specifications aren’t very impressive, but with 30 million Tocco Lite units sold, Samsung will be hoping to once again attract “tweens” looking for an affordable phone that keeps them in touch with their pals.
Samsung Tocco Lite 2 will launch in the UK in March and will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress, which kicks-off in Barcelona at the end of February.
