Samsung has some new form factor Androids coming out in the near future and two examples have leaked in press feature photographs. Both smartphones that have leaked are Android powered handsets which feature dual screens and a physical numeric keypad using the clamshell/flip phone form factor. The name or code names for these two handsets are the Folder and the Hennessey. Whether these phones are sold outside of east Asia remains to be seen.
The Samsung Galaxy Folder (SHV-E400K) is an Android flip phone/clamshell featuring a pair of WVGA AMOLED screens. It is thought that when it is launched shortly in South Korea it may be renamed the Samsung Galaxy Golden.

A leaked manual from a few days earlier pegged the specifications of the Galaxy Folder as follows: two 3.6-inch WVGA (480x800) AMOLED screens, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor running at 1.7GHz and 2GB of RAM according to GSMArena. This new flip phone will also feature a pair of cameras and multitude of connectivity options including 4G/LTE.
The Samsung Galaxy Hennessey (SCH-W789) is another clamshell Android that has been recently uncovered. This one is apparently destined for China Telecom and, from looking at the specs, it is obviously more of a budget effort than the Galaxy Folder/Golden detailed above. The Hennessey is smaller than the Galaxy Folder and has two 3.3-inch screens. Both inner and outer screens are rather low res at 320x480 pixels.
Looking at other specs for this new clamshell Android, the Hennessey is reportedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 running at 1.2GHz complemented by 1GB of RAM. The handset features a 5MP camera on the back, a microSD card slot and dual SIM slots. The OS is purported to be Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Only one picture has leaked showing the Galaxy Hennessey, as above.
Would a modern Android flip phone such as the Samsung Galaxy Folder/Golden appeal to readers?
