Not so cheap trix

Orange, Motorola's exclusive UK partner, has finally announced the UK prices of the Atrix, which runs the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, and will be hitting UK stores in early May and will be available through Orange retail shops.

As expected, the price is at the higher end - the handset will be free on a £35 per month, 24 month contract, which includes 600 minutes, 750 MB of data download and unlimited texts.

Motorola has packed in the Atrix with two accessories: an HD Multimedia Dock, or a Lapdock. While the multimedia dock turns it into a mini-TV type of device, the lapdock aims to transform the phone into a full-fledged laptop. The lapdock is an 11-inch laptop-style screen and keyboard with a slot that holds the Atrix.

Those who buy it from Orange will have the added advantage of getting a Work and Play kit, which includes a remote control, HD multimedia dock and a keyboard for an additional £49.99. The lapdock comes with a hefty price tag of £299.99.

T-Mobile has also confirmed the Atrix for a May release, alongside Xperia Play, Desire S and Galaxy Ace.

The handset was earlier spotted on Expansys' website with a July release date, but the website doesn't provide any details as yet.

Here's James Nesbitt Conor from Orange to talk you through the Atrix.

Intresting but having to carry two laptops/dock would probably put people off.

The entertainment pack on the other hand looks more promising.
I'll be interested in what price it + accessories it pops up on eBay with.
This widget is really beautiful..but you can check it out at the official site of Motorola too for more specs…
