Cliq 2

Last but not least, Motorola unveiled the Cliq 2, the follow-up to its Cliq or Dext as it was called, in the UK.

The handset's most striking feature is its honeycomb-inspired slide-out keyboard. As well as a 3.7 inch screen, the handset boasts business-ready functionality.

The 3G smartphone has a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.2. It comes preloaded with a Blockbuster on demand and Kindle app. The handset is DLNA-enabled so users can stream and share content on other DNLA-ready devices.

As well as entertainment features, Cliq 2 offers business functions like a calendar, corporate directory and network by importing LinkedIn connections. Owners can also work remotely using Quickoffice to edit documents on the go. The handset comes with Motoblur to manage email and social networking updates from the homescreen.

While the smartphone is set to make its US debut in just a couple of weeks, there is no news at present of whether or when Cliq 2 will come to the UK.
