Final Conclusion
The Software
There isn’t really much to say about the drivers, they just work. One major thing that they’re missing is an explanation of features. I’d like to be able to hover over something like the “Enable Acceleration” and be told what that actually means; Instead of having to scan through the manual.
The driver allows you to control all the buttons on the mouse, but there isn’t much option as to what each button can do. Media functions would’ve been nice.
The driver is where you set up all your profiles, you can set up an unlimited number of profiles, but that wouldn’t make much sense if you’re going to flick through them using the button on the underside of the mouse. There’s also the ability for it to say the name of the profile “On-Screen” while you switch through them. This doesn’t work while in a game though.
You also use the driver to set up macros to which you can assign a mouse-button which, when pressed, will execute the macro. This is something I left alone though because I have no use for macros.
In addition, you can change the lighting on the mouse, which sounds quite exciting, until you realise the options are: On or Off.
Conclusion
Overall, this is a very nice mouse, aimed at the higher end of the gaming market due to its £65 price tag; and I think it facilitates this market quite well. The lack of adjustable weight isn’t good and the shape isn’t all that comfortable for everyday use.
Pros:
· Lighting system looks good
· Very accurate at low DPI
· Very responsive at high DPI
· Adjustable thumb buttons
Cons:
· Lighting system is blue, not green
· Highest DPI is too responsive to be usable
· The price is quite high
· Isn’t as comfortable as I’d like
