EA's price cut

Electronic arts have revealed this week that the price of "The Godfather" and "Black" games will be cut by 20%. In the U.S both games can be pre-ordered for $39.95. In the U.K, Amazon and Play do not yet have any price details on the upcoming games.

Whether this will cause other publishers to follow suit and cut the price of their 360 games is unknown, the current price of Ā£45 per game ensures that the average gamer can currently only afford a few games in their collection.

On Monday EA shipped Fight Night Round 3 in the U.S with a suggested retail price of $39. EA spokesman Jeff Brown said. "There are indications that $39 is a solid and sustainable price point."

"Black" is due February 28 and "The Godfather" is pencilled in for release on March 21. With both games expected to achieve high sales, Electronic Arts have took a step in the right direction. Let's hope the rest follow their lead.

This can only be a good thing :D

Nice find mate ;)
As far as I am aware the price cuts were for the XBOX version of the games and not the newer Xbox 360.

If this is the case and they have reduced prices on the 360 games then it will indeed be a good thing.
Indeed, Black is for PS2 and Xbox only NOT 360. XBox/PS2 games savagely cut in price by retailers anyway.
