Need for Speed: Carbon will boast four seperate control systems when it arrives on Nintendo's new console later this year. Electronic Arts decided to add the extra options because some gamers ,who have been testing out the street racing game, found it difficult to get to grips with using the Wii remote for steering.

Those alternatives use both the Wii remote and the nunchuk attachment. In the first one, you rotate the nunchuk left and right to steer, and tilt the Wii remote forwards or backwards from a 45-degree position to accelerate or brake, respectively. For both the second and third alternatives, you hold the Wii remote at a 90 degree angle and tilt it forward to accelerate, while using the Z-button on the nunchuk to brake. The difference is that in the second alternative, you rotate the nunchuk to steer; in the third, you steer with the nunchuk's analog stick.

Newsweek have some exclusive screenshots detailing how the controls will work.

I'm getting the wii soon. But i don't know if these 3 extra options control will make me to buy the carbon game on wii.
I'm definately getting the pc version, i'll get a close match good looking graphics and reasonable price compare to console game.

I've seen the trailer and it looks cool and the game gets back to the traditional night racing style. My friend like it, but i prefer the hdr effect on the most wanted game. And you won't get those catchy realistic tree shadow.
Allow me sum my thoughts up simply:
Wii=fun
NFS:Carbon=fun
Wii+NFS=I don't get it

To go into more detail it seems like NFS is not the sort of game that pairs itself well with the wii. My oppinion is that a wheel (or at least a joystick) is essential for racing games (well simple ones like Mario Cart can work on thumb sticks). Personally if I had a wii I'd buy games that really take advantage of the controller not ones that try to make it work.

I think its only being releasedon the Wii because its there. The NFS series since Most Wanted has been put on every console on the market in some shape or form.

Its a classic EA cash cow franchise. Much like C&C will become and the sports titles already are.
