Also yesterday EA announced that it would be opening up a dedicated forum for beta players; the Star Wars: Battlefront beta forums. This forum, for feedback, discussion of issues and problem solving, will become active tomorrow, when the beta launches.

Beta playable from tomorrow

The Star Wars: Battlefront beta becomes available to play from tomorrow (8th Oct) via Origin, the beta will close on 12th Oct. Those interested can pre-load the beta and play "as soon as it's live". The finished game should be ready between 17th and 20th November, depending upon your region, on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

No microtransactions

According to an interview, given by DICE's Niklas Fegraeus to GameSpot recently, there will be no microtransactions in Star Wars: Battlefront. The senior developer said that "the currency system is based on your game performance". You won't be buying such credits, insisted Fegraeus "The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that's how you get credits".

Looking forward game performance reviews that prove 16GB of RAM provides a worthwhile benefit to gameplay.
I'm going to call it now. The EA forums are going to light up like Christmas with posts from people complaining about performance problems on low-end gaming computers.
Well that's me out. #needanewcomputer
just built a new PC specifically for star wars and fallout 4 :)
