C&C WorldBuilder announced
Electronic Arts has released the tools enabling players to create their own skirmish and multiplayer maps on Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. The C&C WorldBuilder is a 7.7MB download and comes packed with a 100 page instruction manual.
It seems strange that EA has released the toolkit only a few weeks after C&C 3 hit the shops, but they explained that it was putting together the extensive manual that caused the delay. "We made various changes to previous versions of Worldbuilder during development of Command & Conquer 3, which needed to be documented," said a spokesperson.
"Furthermore, references to previous projects and old functionality needed to be removed both from the software and the documentation. As a result, we wished to take extra time to best prepare Worldbuilder for its intended audience"
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is also due for release on Xbox 360 in May and the demo is currently available on the Xbox live marketplace.
