Crysis came bursting on to the scenes in 2007 with one of the most advanced graphics engines to date, and now Crytek think they can take the games market by storm once more with their upcoming AI system.

"We have the most advanced AI system in a game," Crytek boss Cevat Yerli told CVG. "We think that Crysis 2 has the most advanced AI for both humans and aliens you've ever seen. They will be showing tactical co-ordination, they will be more challenging but not unfair - they will be truly intelligent, thinking, fair enemies."

Yerli then went on to add "I think from that perspective our gameplay experience will be very unique because on one hand you have a world that allows freedom, on the second hand a hero that allows freedom - but also an enemy that adapts to freedom and provides you constant challenge no matter what you do."

im looking forward to this actually, original crysis games where good single player and i think the city scenario will make it a lot more interestring for MP (IE less snipers cloaked on bushy hills)
Has any dev ever not said they've got the most advanced AI ever? to be honest I find them all much the same, far too stupid on most occasions & then far too clever elsewhere (ie their seeming xray vision!)

We're talking about the dev that talked up their graphics engine in the 1st game here, and look how that turned out! :P

We'll have to wait and see, but I am definitely looking forward to this game.
Rather liked the first one (just missed out buying it on a recent sale!)
Pffft Chessmaster 3000 had the best AI, modern games are flawed in the lack of defined rules for AI and for poor implementation.

Saying something has the best AI is almost as bad as saying “Unless you cheat you WILL die…. a lot” as best means most people will not be able to beat it

Try playing a skirmish on Perfect Dark against a DarkSim, that is good AI. AI cheats, it has to in order to appear intelligent/ignorant, it's near impossible for AI to function in a realistic manner without that
