Well, not quite dead... yet...

Dead Island is the new first-person horror survival from Techland… and, guessing from the screenies, it’s all about surviving a zombie onslaught on an idyllic island somewhere… there probably a mad professor with a yearning for creating viruses that turn people to zombies or something… either that or the developers have had a sneak peak and series 8 of Lost.

Looks like Crysis meats L4D to me

Would be pretty sweet if they made it open like STALKER, I think that would work really well with a zombie game.

I saw this game in Leipsig and they wouldn't let me near it because they were just on the hunt for a European publisher. I watched game footage through a window! It looked very much like Crysis. It was running on PC at the show.

It could be deceiving though, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
