10 November European launch for Kinect

Let the games begin

Microsoft has announced the European launch date for its motion-sensitive, controller-free peripheral for Xbox - Kinect. It will be available across EMEA on 10 November, along with at least 15 exclusive Kinect games.

Speaking at Gamescom 2010 Chris Lewis, VP of Microsoft's interactive entertainment business in Europe, said: "When Kinect launches on 10 November, it's not just transformative for our business but its set to change how you use entertainment. We're already seeing a high level of anticipation in Europe with sales of the Kinect ready Xbox 360 250GB creating an all-time record weekly market share.

"This is also the year of expansion for Xbox 360; in terms of new audiences, new markets for Xbox LIVE and multiple platforms. With Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone 7 we are bringing the quality, consistency and community of the Xbox experience to gamers on the go. With ‘Age of Empires Online', ‘Fable III' and new games still in development we're also bringing, social, connected gaming experiences to all new audiences on the PC. "

Among the launch line-up of Kinect titles are: ‘Kinect Sports,' ‘Kinect Adventures,' ‘Kinectimals', Kinect Joyride' and ‘Dance Central'. Microsoft will be demonstrating Kinect with some of these games at Gamescom over the next few days. No UK pricing was announced, but it's going for $150 bundled with a game in the States.

Had a go of the kinect at weekend at a show we were at, i can say that im pretty impressed with it, i think the days of the Wii maybe numbered, much better graphics and game play .

I am deffo getting it when it comes out.
