The one area of videogames that Ubisoft has yet to get its hands dirty in is the rhythm-based music genre, which thanks to the likes of Rock Band and Guitar Hero, has enjoyed great success over the last couple of years.

All that is about to change. Ubisoft is currently advertising for a Lead Designer to "help guide the creation of an exciting new cross-platform music based game."

We guess, being that it is cross-platform, Ubisoft will be looking to enter the battle against the big two. It's going to be interesting to see exactly what they come with.

As Ubisoft is only just began its search for a Lead Designer, we guess that the project is still a long way off.
