Lost Planet developer upgrades
Capcom is in the process of acquiring the Japanese developer behind the popular stealth game series, Tenchu. The deal, which doesn't involve huge wads of cash, but instead will see 201,720 Capcom shares released to K2’s stakeholders, will be completed on May 1st."Capcom believes that making K2 a consolidated subsidiary will make it possible to allocate development resources more efficiently in response to shifts in market conditions. This is expected to facilitate the strategic development of software and create synergies. As a result, Capcom believes this exchange of stock will help improve customer satisfaction and make the company even more competitive," reads the statement.
Aside from Tenchu, K2 also worked on the development of Capcom's Lost Planet and is also currently working on the fighting action game, Samurai Spirits Sen.
