On the road
Nintendo's ‘Seeing is Believing' promotion kicks off next week ahead of the launch of its highly anticipated 3DS Console and the company has revealed a set of tour dates.
Nintendo has already toured the UK with a few road show exhibitions of its 3D handheld console, but has added quite a lot of dates in the run up to the 25th of March, when the 3DS goes on sale. The dates are:
24th - 27th February: Braehead Shopping Centre, Glasgow
24th - 27th February: St Andrew Square, Edinburgh
3rd March - 6th March: Metrocentre, Gateshead
3rd March - 6th March: Williamson Square, Liverpool
10th March - 13th March: Westfield London
10th March - 13th March: Old Market Square, Nottingham
17th March - 20th March: Lakeside Shopping Centre, West Thurrock
17th March - 20th March: The Forum, Norwich
18th March - 20th March: Ilac Centre, Dublin
24th March - 27th March: Westfield Derby, Derby
24th March - 27th March: The Vitality Show, Earls Court, London
25th March - 27th March: The East Piazza, Covent Garden, London
31st March - 3rd April: Armada Way Piazza, Plymouth
31st March - 3rd April: The Centre MK, Milton Keynes
The events offer prospective customers the chance to get hands-on with the new console and play on forthcoming titles such as Pilotwings Resort, Pro Evo Soccer 2011, Nintendogs and Super Street Fighter IV 3D, to name a few, but there is one notable gaming absence.
Despite announcing a title for launch, EA has reportedly pulled My Garden, a nurturing gardening game from the 3DS' line-up, as it didn't think it would be a big seller, Joystiq reported. However, EA will apparently still bring Madden NFL and The Sims to the platform this Spring.
