Samsung's T9B music player may seem ordinary on the outside but it has a couple of cool features that may pique your interest.
The boring bit out of the way first. It supports all the usual audio formats and plays MPEG video, too. It also contains an FM radio and a voice-recording facility. The 1.8in/262K screen is bright and clear and battery life is estimated to be around 30 hours when listening to music. It'll be available in 2GB/4GB models - the small-capacity player being expected to retail for around £100.
It's Bluetooth-enabled, so you can use a BT headset or speakers. However, if you have a Bluetooth-enabled phone and it's in the vicinity of the player, in a coat pocket for example, the T9B can interrupt your music and pick up calls. The display then acts much like a mobile phone's and there's a built-in microphone to let you carry on a conversation. Further, you can even access your phone's call history from the player and make calls via it.

Cynics will argue, with validity, that high-end multimedia phones do it all now, but it's nice to see a dedicated player offer more than just playback.
