The sixth-generation iPod was also unveiled last night.

Christened iPod classic, the newest iteration is a autumn revamp on the existing model. Two models will boost hard-drive capacities to 80 and 160GB, respectively, and, in common with the new nano, the classic supports a sleeker user interface.
Apple reckons that the 160GB sixth-generation model is good for 40 hours of audio playback and seven hours of video, displayed on the 320 x 240 2.5in screen.
£159 will buy you the 80GB model and splashing out £229 will secure the 160GB classic. Both will be shipping within 3 days.
The classic, by dint of its name, has seen the least change from the incumbent model, but why fix something that patently isn't broken, right?
