South Korea's best known brand, Samsung, has been showing off what it claims to be the world's slimmest LCD TV panel.
The set, pictured below by Japanese site akihabaranews.com, looks like just another 40in LCD when viewed head on.
From the side, however, it's clear to see that this yet-to-be-named set is incredibly thin. 3.9mm to be exact, and thinner than your average pencil.
Samsung is said to be bringing the set to market "ASAP" and the 40in display offers LCD backlighting, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It's unbelievably thin, sure, but the image is likely to pale in comparison to Samsung's other ultra-thin set; the prototype 40in OLED.
