Sounds good

Each speaker in the Sonos ZonePlayer S5 measures 217mm x 365mm x 123mm, and Sonos is flogging them in packs of five - two tweeters, two three in mids and a built-in 3.5 inch sub - capable of completely filling each room with sound.

The kit also comes complete with an Ethernet to link up not just your entire digital music collection but also tunes from any iPod, CD player, TV, DVD, VCR, radio and even Internet radio stations and music services like Last.fm.

The S5 speakers can be set up and controlled using an attractive iPod like remote from Sonos with a touchscreen, or even the iPhone itself, via a free downloadable app.

Each speaker can either play its own independent content at differing volumes or can be linked together as part of a house-wide system, at the touch of a touchscreen button, to play the same music throughout the house.

The system, which launches in the UK on November 10th, just in time for Christmas, isn't cheap though. A set of 5 speakers costs £350 and the added remote control is another £250 odd. Still, we reckon Sonos will still be making a solid impact on Santa's sack this December.

Sorry I cannot resist…Sylvie, did he go for the easy pink or the more difficult brown?
