16GB iPhone now available from O2

As we suspected earlier today, Apple's 16GB iPhone has now officially launched. What we didn't foresee however was a 32GB iPod Touch to accompany it. Both products are now available from the US Apple Store.

Doubling the storage capacity, Apple's 16GB iPhone joins the current 8GB model and retails exclusively from O2 at a cost of £329.

The iPod Touch, now available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models is available at the US Apple Store at a cost of $299, $399 and $499 respectively. Though the 8GB and 16GB models are available from Apple's UK store at a cost of £199 and £269, UK pricing for the 32GB model is yet to be announced.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPod and iPhone Product Marketing says in an official press release:

"For some users, there’s never enough memory. Now people can enjoy even more of their music, photos and videos on the most revolutionary mobile phone and best Wi-Fi mobile device in the world."

Though Apple's UK store is yet to be updated, a quick call to my local O2 store has confirmed that the 16GB iPhone is in stock and available for purchase immediately.
