O2 follows suit

Mobile operator O2 is the latest to join the iPhone 4 fray by publishing tariffs for Apple's record-breaking smartphone.

Unsurprisingly, O2's pricing structure is in line with Orange's. The cheapest 24-month contract undercuts Orange's by a fiver a month but O2 provides 50 fewer minutes and the iPhone 4 costs more upfront.

Increase the spend to £30pm on a 24-month contract and O2's deal is marginally better but it's swings and roundabouts on other tariffs. Owning the fourth-generation iPhone isn't cheap via either operator, it seems.

O2 also provides unlimited UK WiFi and texts on all plans, and it won't cap existing customers' 3G data until 1 October. Full tariff details are here.

I'm on T-Mobile so going to wait and see what tariffs they offer before I make my choice.
I don't understand why the iPhone Simplicity tariffs are more expensive than the normal Simplicity tariffs

They include Unlimited Internet + WiFi bolt-on.
why do they have to be so god darn expensive!!! i hope when three and t-mobile jumps onto the ban wagon, it will bring the price down. not the best plan but we can only hope
They most certainly don't :) No unlimited internet in sight! Last I checked you could get a free bolt-on with a £20 or more simplicity which leaves iPhone users paying £5 odd extra for Wifi while getting fewer mins/texts (regular simplicity giving a third extra mins/texts with a 12 month contract)
