UK mobile operator 3 has announced it will be offering Apple's iPhone 4 at the same time as everyone else - 24 June.
Earlier this week T-Mobile announced it too would have the iPhone available from 24 June, which means, for the first time, you have your choice of all the five UK networks should you want to get one. We wouldn't be surprised to see virtual network operators like Virgin Mobile and Tesco Mobile jump on the bandwagon too.
That it really, Apple clearly exercises a fair bit of influence over there companies when it comes to press release, because there's a distinct ‘let's not risk pissing-off Steve' abruptness about them. Neither company is talking about tariffs yet, despite the big day being only two weeks away and the phones being made available for pre-order next Tuesday.
There is one more morsel of iPhone 4-related news, originally unearthed by tech site Pocket-Lint. O2 is generously offering to let people buy themselves out of their existing iPhone contract to the tune of £20 for every month that's left on it. This offer has now been confirmed on the O2 site.
