Pity them

Is it just me or were there more April Fool stories than real ones on the Interweb today?

As you have probably worked out from what I've written before, this isn't exactly a full-time job for me, so I'm happy to take the opportunity to collate other people's work for you this week.

In fact I'm going to get other people to do my work for me twice over as I'm bringing you a roundup of April Fool roundups. Get in!

Engadget noted that Google went a bit mental with the April Fool stuff today. Top of the list was Gmail Motion, which uses a Kinect-like motion sensing system to allow you to input commands by just waving your arms about.

And then there's this mad one from YouTube, showing what viral videos might have been like if YouTube had been around in 1911. The cat one at the end cracks me up.

Pocket-lint had a big list, and one of my favourites was WoofWoof - a social networking service for dogs.

TechCrunch had possibly the biggest list of all, which included this video from Qualcomm showing how Snapdragon engineers train with real dragons to get better at their jobs.

Lastly SlashGear showed what may be the most popular April Fool's video in geek circles - the Playmobil Apple Store. Crazy fools!

I liked the BMW M3 Royal Edition, the Will, details HERE, who says germans dont have a sense of humour
Thoroughly enjoyed the Gmail motion video.

As for me, I got fooled reading a Lens alert which said ‘Apple to acquire Sprint’.
how about the renewal of firefly?

although that was just plain douchey.
Thanks for the roundup, there were some good ones this year.

Scarily I could see that Apple playmobile actually selling if they made it lol, you can bet there would be some Apple obsessed parents who'd buy it for their kids!
