Tight fit

Warrington distributor VIP has announced stock of Thermaltake's new enthusiast chassis - the Spedo - of which it's the sole distributor.

No hyperbole has been spared in describing this new case, with phrases like "an engineering and technical masterpiece," "the perfect combination of style, enhanced ventilation and user convenience," and "the Spedo has the potential to reform the global PC chassis market," among the gushing claims attributed to it.

As you would expect of a high-end case the emphasis is on airflow and ventilation. Features include the culminations of three trilogies in the form of Cable Routing management 3, which stashes cables in plastic covers behind the motherboard and Advance Thermal Chamber 3, which isolates the CPU, GPU and PSU from each other.

"Following on from thorough market research, we are confident that the Spedo will excel well beyond the expectations of the end user," said Thermaltake marketing manager Jerry Lee. "The combination of great all-round performance, design and build-quality ensures the Spedo delivers the ultimate in price vs. performance."

There is no sign of the product on the VIP website yet and we're still awaiting confirmation of pricing.

UPDATE - 14:30, 30th October 2008: VIP has contacted us to confirm the price of £124.25 + VAT

Looks sweeeeeeeeet
hmm… but for £124 i can have a very nice lian li… which have better build quality all-round (in my experience)

In my experience, thermaltake cases have been brilliant build quality, so I would be quite willing to shell out for a case like tht one :P
look at the 120mm fan hole at back of where the CPU goes
I don't like cases with big drive bays down the front, restrictive fore somebody who uses one dvd-rw and one hard drive, think of how much more room i could have
