Target Components has been appointed official UK distributor of Yarvik tablets and accessories by manufacturer, Sweex.
The Yarvik range includes a number of 7" to 13" black or white tablet models, plus accessories that include tablet covers, styli and stands. The tablets feature the latest Android Jelly Bean operating system, up to 1GB RAM and A7 to A9 processors providing seamless video playback, smooth graphics and easy multitasking. The flagship Xenta model also boasts an IPS screen, whereas the much-anticipated Junior Tablet will feature a ruggedised chassis, parental setup and children's apps upon launch on 12th July.
All Yarvik products come in retail-friendly packaging and are supported by a two-year manufacturer's warranty as well as customer support via a freephone UK number and email, providing a streamlined repairs and returns process for both reseller and end-user.
Target has experienced disappointment as other tablets have failed its rigorous testing process, particularly with quality issues on cheaper models. The distributor's Commercial Manager, Kevin Barber, explains, "We have tested several different tablet brands in the past year-or-so but none have come close to providing what we, and our customers, have been looking for in terms of quality, support and pricepoint. But Yarvik addresses all of these concerns and there is plenty of margin to be made too, particularly when the tablets are bundled with accessories."
He also admits that there has been a gap in Target's tablet offering but attributes this to "an influx of poor quality, although admittedly cheaper, units that have disappointed through high failure rates. Target customers are not prepared to risk their reputations on selling hardware that does not live up to the job but Yarvik's commitment to providing the support, combined with excellent build-quality, has given us the confidence to push the brand."
Yarvik will be exhibiting at Target's Open Day on 13th September in Leeds.
